Spent the day hanging around Little India and decided to get something to eat. Go figure, that’s all I’ve been doing since I arrived here in Singapore. Little India is right off the subway, it has it’s own exit. It kind of reminded me of the East Village in New York, a street lined with Indian restaurants. I chose one that had a menu posted outside and it had black daal. Black daal is my most favorite Indian dish. It was delightful, I’m going to have to learn how to make this at home. The garlic naan was fresh, right from the oven. I rounded it off with lime juice. After that meal, I was still feeling the jet-lag, so I headed back to one of the top Singapore hotels where I’m staying and get some shut-eye.

The next day, I found myself wandering around the malls of Singapore, apparently, I’m doing what most Singaporeans do too, it appears to be a national pastime. I was once again hungry, and this was a great place to find some lunch. I stopped off at the Imperial Treasure. Their noodles were fresh, I could tell as I watch the man behind the counter make them. The noodles were scrumptious in the hot and sour soup I ordered. I ordered a little bit of Dim Sum and I fell in love with the scallion pastry. I’ll have to figure out how to make that at home too.

Later, I took an excursion to Kuala Lumpur. A staff member of my hotel recommended I check out the Kor yo-Won. He knew I was a foodie and thought I’d really enjoy eating there. It was a Korean BBQ place, I scanned the menu, but couldn’t figure out what was the best thing to order, so I asked my waiter. He told me to order the traditional beef BBQ and a Korean honey and ginger tea. I couldn’t stop eating! Every bite was a culinary delight. The waiter also recommended desert, but I was so full, I couldn’t take another bite.

It was raining when I left the restaurant, but that really didn’t bother me, I was still in food heaven.
