Cuisine and Theatre of Singapore Attract Tourists

Mark and Dave decided that they would take a vacation to a place that neither had been before, but both had to be interested in. After narrowing down the choice to five different locations, they agreed they would pull two of them out of a hat and then flip a coin to decide which of them got to make the final decision based on the two choices. As it turned out, Venice, Italy and Singapore where the final choices and Dave won the coin toss was awarded the final decision on vacation locations. He gave it a little thought and was himself almost mutually attracted to both places. Finally he decided to be a good friend and he opted for Singapore, which had originally been Mark’s choice.

Fortunately for both of them, the decisions were not as complicated once they reached one of the five star hotels Singapore and they actually ended up being interested in many of the same things. They both wanted to try as much of the local cuisine as they could and they both loved Broth, which was a known as the restaurant on the hill. Dave had an incredible spinach and mushroom salad Mark ordered the daily pasta, which was linguini with a pesto based sauce. They both had the apple tart for dessert.

They also enjoyed many of the local landmarks and attractions such as the Fort Canning Park with its outdoor cinema and also the Esplanade and some of the other Marina businesses and attractions. One of the things they both intended to see from the beginning was a production of Cantonese Opera. They went to a production by the Chinese Theatre Circle, which is one of Singapore’s most active companies and were absolutely amazed with the performance. They were also taken by the detail of costume and scenery and the incredible dedication and talent of the performers. Their trip to Singapore remains one of Mark and Dave’s favorite vacations, and their system for making a final location decision remained with them as well.
