Maverick Telugu Desam MLA from Nagarkurnool Nagam Janardhan Reddy, who is a staunch loyalist of party president N Chandrababu Naidu and has been toeing the line of his leader by supporting united Andhra Pradesh stand all these days, has suddenly changed his tune. Apparently fearing that he is getting isolated among the Telangana leaders, Nagam seems to have realized that his political future would be at stake if he continues to support integrated Andhra Pradesh. So, to be on the safe side, Nagam said it was wrong to describe him as an integrationist.

"Who said I am against separate Telangana State? I am also for bifurcation of the State. In fact, I participated in the 1969 separate Telangana movement and went to jail. What I have been following is to abide by the party decision. Whatever I feel, I will tell the party president directly, but not make any statements in public in tune with the party discipline," he clarified.
