Makers considered several titles like Intikokkadu, Vamsanikokkadu etc. In fact, Suresh Productions banner registered the title Desanikokkadu for the film. Towards the end they zeroed on Baladoor.

Udayshankar earlier directed super hit film for Suresh Productions banner. This is the first time Radhakrishna is composing music for Raviteja film. Balasekharan handled the camera.
