Tampa has nature to nightlife, theme parks to theaters, and waterways to wildlife, something for everyone. Tampa was recently awarded the ‘Top Arts Destination’ by the American Style Magazine. The city cherishes its history and art because they caught-on a long time ago that it’s the unique culture which a city can use as the most powerful tool to showcase Tampa’s rich heritage. From Tampa’s critically acclaimed opera and orchestra, to independent and foreign film festivals, to a stellar Broadway series and a wonderful array of museums, Tampa is a rising star and is beginning to surpass Miami’s cultural scene and soon all of Florida.
The Tampa Museum of Art just opened in February of 2010 in downtown Tampa and is now providing the region with world-class traveling exhibitions. Their collection of contemporary and classical will continue to expand alongside their educational programs. The museum also has access to scenic outdoor events along Tampa’s Riverwalk.
Opening in the fall of 2010, will be the Glazer Children’s Museum, which has been designed to inspire children and their parents by creating learning opportunities around innovative discoveries and play.
