For our anniversary we decided to go to New York City for the weekend. We have always wanted to go to New York City and this was the perfect opportunity to go. Our plan was to really treat ourselves and we did. First we booked a room in mid town Manhattan at boutique hotels New York. Charming and quaint it was just the romantic type of place we had hoped for. The hotel was rather small and intimate not at all what one expects to run into in the middle of New York city.

The location was excellent we were able to get to everything we wanted that weekend on foot. Right in the middle of Manhattan, we were near Rockefeller Center and the Empire State Building. A very short walk to Times Square and the world famous Grand Central Terminal. It was amazing to be in the places I had seen many time on TV but never in real life.

From our hotel we were able to access Central Park in just a short walk. We strolled up that way one evening and took a carriage ride around the park. It was a crisp and cool evening perfect for a carriage ride around the park. Another night we took in the Broadway play Spamalot , very funny and worth going to see. Both of us having been fans of Monty Pythons Flying Circus and all the subsequent movies the Monty Python gang made we were looking forward to seeing the play. We were really glad we did it was excellent, I haven’t laughed that hard in a very long time. And once again we were able to walk from our hotel to dinner then to the play. We could not have been more pleased with the convenience of the hotels location.

The weekend was a great get away and perfect way to spend our anniversary.
